Thanks Anna. It isn’t going to get better, but at least I now have time to prepare myself for when the inevitable happens.
I used to be a really picky eater so I think my family and friends are sometimes a little surprised when I clear my plate and ask for seconds. I could have eaten more cupcakes but had to leave some for the birthday girl.

The ice cream vans tend to be located right in the centre of the park – so inconsiderate! – so we would’ve had a long walk back to where we started.
I was fine after my ice cream but got really bad stitch when I tried to run after drinking a bottle of water.
I’m looking forward to having a go at improving my parkrun time later on this year when it’s hopefully a little cooler. This heat wave has to end one day, I hope!

I used to be an incredibly picky eater and would leave half of my meals. Now I nearly always clear my plate. I blame running.

I like to think so. The ice cream was far more refreshing than the bottles of water we bought 20 minutes into our run. I’ll definitely make an ice cream stop next time I’m in Sutton Park.

Nice work on the parkrun- considering how hot it has been that is a pretty speedy time.
I went to one of my home runs this weekend- Ellenbrook Fields with my dad- we found it tough in the heat as there is little shade.
