Thanks Maria. The hills were tough and I struggled. Once the Royal Parks Half is out of the way, I really need to make myself complete some hill sessions.
I only have a couple of sports bottles (they keep mysteriously disappearing out of the cupboard at home) so I was grateful for a new one.
Yep, once I’ve got the half marathons in London done and dusted, it’s smaller, local races for me.

Thanks Paul. I took part in the Lichfield 10k and found the crowds at the start a little overwhelming. Once I’ve got the Royal Parks Half and the Big Half out of the way, I’ll be sticking to local more low-key races.

I’d rather have a medal because I have a cupboard full of sports bottles!
I much prefer the smaller local races- give me one like this over a big city run any day of the week.

I prefer local low-key races too, sometimes the big races are a lot of hassle with parking and baggage and the enormous loo queues.
