I love being able to walk to work, it's lovely and peaceful in the mornings. A great way to start the day. The traffic in Wallingford was so bad last week, I was overtaking dozens of cars stuck in traffic jams. It was very satisfying.
I've always been a tad lazy when it comes to going to bed with wet hair. I don't have very long hair so it's usually dry by the morning. I do tend to swap pillows half way through the night, so lazy!
Our team lunches are great, I'm definitely going to miss the food in the Manor House (and my team) when I leave.

I've been reading far too many 'day in the life' type posts recently. I find them really interesting. I may do a weekend post at some stage. Thanks to spending most of my weekends working at the moment, I may bore people to tears.
Get testing those ales. I've now eaten six home made hot cross buns, I ate three during a team meeting and started to feel a little peaky. I think I'm going to stick to Easter eggs from now on. I fear shop hot cross buns won't be the same.

Thanks, I may do another day in my life post when I'm running on a regular basis. My colleague asked the same question. I think I assumed they wouldn't taste very good; the reality was a very pleasant surprise. I still prefer Easter eggs.
I'm halfway through the book now and have been in tears a few times. It's such a good book I'm going to make the time to write a review. I'm happy to send you my copy when I've finished it.

I love that you can walk to walk. And what looks like a very peaceful pretty walk.
I could not wash my hair and then sleep on wet hair - that would drive me mad! I think I'd have to sleep on a towel - my pillow would just be far too wet with all my hair haha.
It's nice that you all go out for lunch together - a nice way to get away from the office :)

I enjoyed reading the "waffle." You're right, there's something innocently voyeuristic reading about other people's routines. But really, I have to agree with Maria. I've been in England for a few months and probably ate 20 hot cross buns :-) But I'm sure I have some catching-up to do on the kinds of ales to try, so I won't brag. :-)

Right, how on earth have you never had a hot cross bun before??? Madness!
I too enjoy reading these day in the life posts.
And I heard that guy being interviewed on MT- the book sounded amazing and I think I had to stop my run and cry for a minute because of some of the awful stories.
