In reply to <a href="https://thephdrunner.com/2019/11/04/couch-to-half-marathon-training-week-9/#comment-2027">Maria @ Maria Runs</a>.

After spending a couple of hours at mum's on Sunday I agree with you. Mum has two cats, one is a short-haired moggy and the other is a Birman. The Birman is constantly shedding hair and I found some fluff in my Sunday dinner. Just about acceptable when it's a family cat. People were given a strange mesh tent like think to cover their food, this was a waste of time as one of the 'rules' is that people can't push cats away. Understandable, but it means that in theory the cats could walk all over your food and you would have to sit and watch it happen. I do wonder how these place pass the food hygiene inspections!

I find the idea of the car cafes really gross to be honest. One of my friends has cats that just shed hair as they walk along- if we went there for takeaway pizza she would put the box on the floor and they would walk around and as they were walking you could see the hair floating off them and landing on the plates and food and allsorts. I've seen one in Nottingham and it just seems not a good idea to mix cats with food.
