Labradors are definitely posh dogs...
Thanks, looking back I probably shouldn’t have taken part in the Lichfield 10k. I don’t think I’ll make the mistake of running the day after a migraine again.
I must say I’m a little disappointed I didn’t get to experience more runs in South Oxfordshire. Unfortunately a lack of transport options means I’ve had to say no to quite a few pretty awesome looking races.
I think it’s great that both your dad and your brother run. I wish my family were slightly more sporty. They don’t even watch sports on the TV.
I love the idea of running with one of my parents but it’s never going to happen.

I had no idea that Labradors were posh dogs!
Well done on the race, particularly as you weren't well the day before.
And yes, as Anna says, it's perfectly normal to have a struggle with work (I am still in the fake it until I make it mindset even though I've been doing the same thing for years).
There are some races I would do each year as I enjoy them so much, but usually it's nice to have a change. Saying that I did the Cambridge half last year instead of the Brighton half, but I am going back to Brighton next year as it's one of my favourites and I missed it.
My dad runs (he got me into parkrun too) and my brother sometimes joins us if he isn't playing football, and I love that we see each other regularly because of parkrun. We do a few races together too, although he is very busy so is often away so I tend to do lots on my own too.

Thanks Anna. I'm so judgmental... my Dad breeds Labradors so I kind of grew up with them. There were loads in Henley. All the children were wearing posh school uniforms. Hats, tartan skirts the works. I usually say rough as a badger's arse but thought I'd better tone it down a little. I've no idea if it is a Midlands thing. I had no idea your Dad's from Birmingham.
I think I'll start to feel a lot less stressed when I've got my presentation out of the way. It's on Wednesday. Arrragghhh It's just frustrating I felt so unwell on Saturday I wasn't able to work on it.

Two things I really enjoyed during this... 1) that the definition of posh is lots of Labrador owners and 2) the rough as a badger's bottom comment. My dad ALWAYS says that. I wonder if it's a midlands thing? My dad is from Birmingham as well.
Well done on the race, especially considering the migraine. It sounds like you had a tough week. I wish I could say lots of things to make things feel a bit easier and better... We all struggle at times. I constantly live in fear someone will "find me out" and sack me. Just don't dwell on the bad and hard stuff, focus on the positives. Like a fantastic runner you are.
