I almost called this blog ‘I’ve got no running friends so I need all the help I can get’ but I didn’t want to sound too desperate.
The PhD Runner has been nominated in the personal blog category. Thanks to the reader who took the time to nominate me, you know who you are! While I know that I have zero chance of ever making the top three, I’d love to reach the shortlist of the top 12 personal running blogs.
If you enjoy reading my rants and raves, details of my failed training runs and other random posts, then please click on the ‘Nominated’ badge below, find my blog and hit the ‘Vote’ button.

If you really, really enjoy reading my blog, then please hit the ‘Share’ button and let other people you have voted.
The organisers reduce to a shortlist of the top 12 in every category in December so that runners can find out who the best in each category are. Voting for the top 12 is then re-opened to find the top 3 and voting is cumulative.
And finally, I’ll let you into a secret. It took the reader of my blog three attempts and a couple of emails to get my blog added to the list of nominees. I’m still waiting for the organisers of the 2020 Running Awards to contact me to let me know my blog has been nominated. Slightly suspicious if you ask me!

I just voted. I hope you win!
Thank you so much. I won’t win because there are some amazing blogs out there, but I’d love to make the shortlist!
Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog
