I usually write about my experiences as a back-of-the-pack runner so you are probably wondering why on earth I decided to write this blog. I promise that once I’ve written this blog normal service will resume.
I’m not the most positive person on the planet (understatement of the century) and have developed a rather negative attitude. Certain aspects of my life are a bit of a disaster area at the moment and my mental health isn’t great. As a result, I decided to spend some time focusing on the positive things in my life.
Here’s my list of things that make me happy. While most are predictable, there are a few slightly unusual items in my list.

I actually found listing 50 things that make me happy far, far easier than I thought I would and I could have listed 100 things that make me happy. This is definitely a positive sign!
What makes you happy?

Saying ‘no’ doesn’t make me feel happy, but it definitely makes me feel relieved afterwards when I realise that I relieved myself from possible stress heading my way!
Crossing things off my to-do list definitely ranks high up on my list too! 😉
For years I would say yes to virtually everything, I found saying no to people impossible. I now find that saying no and being a little bit selfish on occasion really my mental health. Having said that, I’m regretting agreeing to enter and blog about Swimathon as I find swimming both stressful and time consuming. Nothing beats working my way through my things to do list.
Yes I’ve had that particular ginger beer!! SO deeelish
Crabbie’s definitely features in my top 10 drink list. As I’ve stopped drinking Diet Coke, I enjoyed a couple of bottles on Wednesday evening.
This list is great 🙂 So many things I agree with!
I’d definitely say sunshine and good weather makes me very happy. And my dog. And good food… I’m easily pleased! I also like a good book.
Thanks Anna. Writing the list made me realise that I’m pretty easily pleased. Give me sunshine, good food, good company and banter and I’m happy. I need to stop watching crap on the TV and make more time for good books as I love reading.
