My Strava Year in Sport Stats

I’m aware that I’ve been neglecting my blog a little recently, sorry! To be honest, I haven’t felt like blogging. Finding things to write about became difficult. When the second lockdown ended, Birmingham moved straight into Tier 3 and my full-time job suddenly got ridiculously busy. I’m not complaining as I know how fortunate I am to have a job and to be able to work from home, however, the last thing I felt like doing after finishing work was spending more time in front of a computer screen.

I’ve been trying to document my slightly intermittent training over on Instagram. If you don’t already, please check out my account. I’m hoping to start the Couch to 5k again in January as my left knee is now behaving itself and it’s finally stopped making slightly worrying sounds when I walk up the stairs at home.

So, back to the point of this blog. Yesterday, Strava emailed me the link to check out my Year in Sport stats. I thought I’d share some of them here so I have something to refer back to in future years.

Thanks for the insights into my training during 2020. After spending so much of the year injured and unable to run, I was a little surprised that running was still my top sport in 2020. I was also a little surprised I’d run 777 miles until I realised it was the total of my running and cycling mileage. Doh!
