My chosen “slactivity” for Day 24 of Juneathon was donating approximately 470ml of my common as muck, O+ blood.
Sorry but I refuse to take photos of the actual giving blood part of the donation process.
As, according to a potentially dubious source (The Daily Fail), donating blood burns 650 calories, perhaps it should count as a form of exercise? It’s a shame that the post-donation cake and crisps selection at the donation session was so impressive this time.
As I feel fine, Day 25 will hopefully include a short run.

Giving blood is probably the most worthwhile Juneathon activity you will do. Going for a run isn’t a potentially life saving activity!
Well done you! Blood donation has proved a popular activity this Juneathon (I tried but was rejected 🙁
Thanks! I’m sorry to hear you were rejected 🙁
I had some issues with low iron levels last year and was rejected. I now always take iron supplements in the weeks leading up to my appointments.
It was iron for me too, though I was in the healthy range – just not healthy enough for them. In hindsight it may not have been the best idea to donate 5 days after a half-marathon!
