New Event: Birmingham UNITED We Run virtual run

Good morning and TGIF! I hope that whoever reads this blog has had a great week. I can’t wait to share some amazing news with you all. I just need to wait for the paperwork to appear in my work inbox.

In a break from my personal challenge and goals posts, I thought I’d share a press release the Fix Events team sent me last week. Before I share the details of the virtual run, I thought I’d share some information about the event organisers; Fix Events.

An introduction to Fix Events

Fix Events is one of the leading multisport event management companies in the UK, with over 11 years experience, hosting over 70+ annual events including running, triathlons, corporate and charity events. Fix Events run standalone events under the Fix Events name and also create successful series such as MoRunning. Fix Events also host charity events such as the Go Dad Runs inspired by Colin Jackson, the Use Your Senses series in aid of Guide Dogs UK and the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Run Series.

So now let me introduce you to a great new virtual run challenge; Birmingham UNITED We Run.

About Birmingham UNITED We Run

Birmingham Runners, it’s time to get outdoors and be part of a run challenge that unites the city and promotes health, fitness, well-being and a positive, fun run.

Join this virtual run wherever you live in Birmingham. Entry is FREE. Inspire and motivate all your family, friends and work colleagues to join this challenge. Start your training and on the 20th February – the official Birmingham UNITED We Run day – we want you to get out and smash your best run.

This is all about having a focus, uniting Birmingham and being part of something that is good for all!

When you sign up you can purchase a stunning medal to add to your collection. The event organisers will post these medals out so you hopefully receive them before the run challenge day. When you buy one of these medals, the event organisers will also include one of their Winter Warmer Buffs for Free!

Birmingham UNITED We Run Runners Receive:

  • Online profile where you upload your run time along with regular updates
  • View your challenge stats, view our leader board and our overall country running stats
  • Partner offers and benefits
  • Motivational training advice, videos and more
  • Offers and discounts to future Fix Events

If you love collecting running medals as much as I do, the organisers have included the option of adding a UNITED We Run medal to your collection for only £7.00.

Please not that these medals are limited in availability.

How to enter

For more detailed information and to enter the event, please check out the dedicated Birmingham UNITED We Run event page here.

**Full disclosure: I didn’t receive monetary payment for promoting the Birmingham UNITED We Run event. All photographs were provided by Fix Events**
